Our vision is to become the African and Middle-Eastern leader in the field of electronics and consumer durable goods.

Our mission, as El- Araby Group - an Egyptian joint stock family enterprise, established in 1964 and engaged in both manufacturing and marketing engineering products, is to contribute to the development of the Egyptian economy,The Group is dedicated to providing high quality products that incorporate high technology, in order to satisfy the needs and expectations of the consumer.

Our aim is to be the best Arab and African Egyptian company in the field by the end of 2014.

- Speech of Mr-Mahmoud El-Araby, Chairman of the Board of Directors:

El-Araby Group has witnessed many strategic stages since it was established in 1964,Today, it has become, thanks to God the Almighty, one of the most important industrial and commercial entities in Egypt and the Middle East, The company started its operations with a capital of 4000 LE, The founding three brothers were Mohamed Ibrahim El-Araby, Mahmoud Ibrahim El-Araby and Abd Algayed Ibrahim El-Araby' The company started its activities in the field of hardware and children's toys, Afterwards, the development of the group started by partnerships with major Japanese companies, most importantly the Toshiba Corporation in 1974, and hence we became the only Arab commercial agent for Toshiba products in Egypt' The second partnership was with the Japanese Sharp Corporation in 2002.

The real meaning of growth for our company does not only consist in growth of the volume of capital and profits, but it also means the growth in manpower, El-Araby Group has been able to attract a lot of expert manpower, The number of employees in El-Araby Group mounts to 16000, who produce and market electrical and domestic appliances, the quality of which is well-known to the Egyptian, Arab and African consumer, the matter that eventually benefits the Egyptian economy.

Perhaps the secret of our success is the relationship within El-Araby Group between man and God Almighty, manifested in abiding by the rules of noble human relationships that our faith dictates, as well as maintaining a good relationship with partners, suppliers and distributors, Hence, we are able to preserve the leading role of El-Araby Group community in Egypt, With the sunrise of every new day, we have renewed and bigger dreams and aspirations, When they are fulfilled, we thank God Almighty for His Help and Enlightenment.

Mahmoud El-Araby.

- Founders:

Mohammad, Mahmoud, and Abd Elgayed El –Araby- the three founding brothers,They have led a fifty-year journey from their origins in rural Egypt to the Rising Sun of Japan,In 1964, the three brothers started their journey, and each had a clear role, which also supports the others in their own roles, Mr- Mohammed Ibrahim El-Araby planted the conception of committed work, dedication, perseverance, accuracy and proficiency, Mr-Mahmoud Ibrahim El-Araby, on the other hand, focused on clarifying the concepts of dream, vision, mission, objectives, planning, and initiative, To complete the formula of success, Mr- Abd Elgayed El-Araby focused on building a good working system, encompassing all the steps, methods and regulations of work, Mr-Mohamed Ibrahim was born on 23/06/1928, He now works as Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr-Mahmoud Ibrahim was born on 15/04/1932, He was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr- Abd Elgayed Ibrahim was born on 25/11/1935 and died on 15/11/1995, The last position he occupied was Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Arab Group and Chairman of the Industrial Sector in Benha.

- Members of the Board of Directors:

The current BoD of El-Araby Group is the first elected board in the history of the group,It consists of seven members, in addition to the Chairman, Mr- Mahmoud Ibrahim El-Araby and the Vice Chairman, Mr-Mohammed Ibrahim El-Araby, It is supposed to exercise its functions in the period from 2010 till the end of 2012, It consists of the following members.

1- Eng- Ibrahim Mahmoud El-Araby:

• Date of Birth- 02/07/1953.

• He holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Department of Architecture, awarded in 1977.

•He works in El-Araby Group since 1977.

2- Dr- Mamdouh Mahmoud El-Araby:

•Date of Birth- 08/10/1956.

•He holds a Bachelor of Medicine from Ain Shams University, awarded in 1980.

•He holds an MA in pediatrics, awarded in 1985.

•He holds a PhD in pediatrics, from Ain Shams University, awarded in 1995.

•He works in El-Araby Group since 1980.

3- Eng- Mohamed Mahmoud El-Araby:

•Date of Birth- 08/09/1960.

•He holds aBachelor of Science in Engineering, Department of Electronics and Communications, awarded in 1983.

•He works in El-Araby Group since 1983.

4- Eng-Salah Eldeen Abd El Gayed El-Araby:

•Date of Birth- 22/10/1960.

•He holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Department of Electronics and Communications, awarded in 1983.

•He works in El-Araby Company since 1983.

5- Eng-Medhat Mahmoud El-Araby:

•Date of Birth-03/11/1969.

•He holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics, American University in Cairo, awarded in 1992.

6- Mr- Mohyi Eldeen Mahmoud El-Araby:

•Date of Birth- 24/08/1971.

•He holds a BA in Performing Arts, American University in Cairo, awarded in 1994.

•He works in El-Araby Group since 1999.

7- Eng- Mohamed Abd El Gayed El-Araby:

•Date of Birth- 25/11/1972.

•He holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration, El-Asher Technology Institute, awarded in 1995.

- History of El-Araby in Brief:

•1964- Founding El-Araby Company for appliances, school supplies and toys by Mr- Mahmoud El-Araby with other partners.

•1968- Starting the partnership among the three brothers – Mohamed, Mahmoud and Abd Elgayed - to form El-Araby Company for hardware, clothes, home and electrical appliances.

•1970-Engaging in more activities, by starting to trade in black-and-white TV sets.

•1974- The beginning of expansion, through importing SANYO black-and-white TV sets and Toshiba fans & radio-cassettes.

•1975-A new strategic stage in the history El-Araby history, following the signing a contract of commercial agency with Toshiba, the Japanese company, Hence, the company name changed to "El-Araby Company for Trade & Supply".

•1977- Expansion in the import and export activities; the establishment of an independent company named AB Import & Export; opening of the Port Said branch.

•1982- Manufacturing is the special feature of this year, during which the company witnessed a new era of manufacturing, followed by the opening of the first factory of electrical fans in Benha, El-Araby's first product, At the same time, El-Araby started an assembly line for Toshiba TV sets in El-Nasr factories, in partnership with Toshiba Corporation; opening of Shobra branch.

•1985- Expansion in manufacturing by increasing the number of products (radio-Cassettes) for more than 8 years, till 1992.

•1985- Increasing the investment in export by acquiring the SEIKO (watches) franchise, In the next year, El-Araby started to cooperate with ALBA, becoming the only agent for both SEIKO & ALBA in Egypt.

•1991- Establishing a new company named "El-Araby Company for Trade & Manufacturing", merging both El-Araby for TV sets and El-Araby for Franchises together into one company; the establishment of four new factories (kitchen hoods, ceiling fans, engines and irons).

•1993- El-Araby lays the foundation stone of the TVs Factory in Benha, in order to transform the industrial complex of Benha into a very large industrial plant which includes 10 factories on an area of 36000 square meters.

•1994- Producing motors of fans and ceiling fans.

•1995- Producing color TV sets, AIWA radio cassette recorders.

•1998- Opening the office equipments sector.

•1999- Starting the second stage of El-Araby, by establishing Quesna industrial complex on an area of more than 250000 square meters; starting to produce half-automatic washing machines.

•2000-Starting to produce TOSHIBA 29-inch TV sets.

•2001- Opening the Toshiba Refrigerators Factory, with a production capacity mounts to 250000 units a year.

•2002- Opening of the first factory to produce the super-flat screen (Toshiba TV) with a production capacity that mounts to 300000 units a year.

•2003- Opening the Air Conditioners (Sharp) Factory, which is the second factory all over the world to the plasma cluster technology to purify air, with a production capacity of 140000 units a year.

•2004- Opening the Lamps Factory, affiliated to El-Araby Company for Lighting Technology, with a production capacity of 6 million units a year.

•2007- Starting to produce Toshiba Regza TV sets, to be the first TV manufactured in Egypt.

•2008- Opening the Heaters Factory, signing the La Germania agency contract.

•2009-Starting to produce Sharp Refrigerators.

•2010-Starting an assembly line for the components of Sharp photocopiers .
